Laura joined the Schmooz team at the beginning of the 2016 year, and has quickly integrated herself in all the comings and goings. To get to know her a bit better, I asked this Super Schmoozer a few things about herself...
Zoe: Where did you go to school?
Laura: I went to the University of Toronto, where I specialized in Canadian Literature—Sinclair Ross, Margaret Laurence… books about foreboding and inner turmoil. I’ve got a serious library at home. I also took some copy editing and communications classes at the Ryerson Chang School.
Where have you worked before?
I’ve had several incredible jobs that I look back on really fondly. After interning at FASHION Magazine in the online department, I worked for digital and public affairs clients at GCI Group. Now I work for you!
What do you do in your “free” time?
I read like a maniac and drink a lot of coffee and Red Bull. I love having good meals and good conversations. And travelling. I’m also planning a wedding, which takes up a lot of time.
Which Social Media tool do you love the most?
I’m obsessed with Iconosquare. It’s a free tool that helps to track and optimize Instagram campaigns.
What makes you smile at the end of the day?
My days usually end with a glass of wine and an episode of The Wire. I feel pretty lucky.
Sounds pretty great! It's wonderful to see the Schmooz Team expand to include people like Laura. I feel lucky too. :) Thanks for answering my questions, Laura! - Zoe Share, C.E.S.
